Your Bio

Hello, I'm just an amateur photographer toying around with various subjects. As you might notice, most of my photos consist of landscape scenes as I enjoy the search for the subject as much as I do shooting them. I have wide ranging interests that include bright and beautiful to old, weathered and forgotten. I'd really like to try portraiture but my family seems to vanish when the camera is out. I'd also like to try more candid shots or street photography, but I often feel like I'm invading people’s personal space.

Aside from trying to improve on my shooting skills, I'm also working on learning post processing techniques in Lightroom without "overcooking" images from RAW files. I do like converting the odd photo into a pencil drawing for fun (usually a junk shot I’m trying to salvage). Some of the earlier photos I have posted are from a Sony H50 (“Prosumer” style, non DSLR digital camera) and the latest from an entry level Sony Alpha 330 DSLR. Many of the latest images were taken with a Vintage 28-135mm Minolta lens which I’ve quickly fallen in love with for its sharpness and rich colours.

Thanks very much for looking, any comments, suggestions or constructive criticisms are welcome.
